Ready for my hike!

Loved my Redmond II's so when I needed new hikers, I thought I'd give Redmond III's a try. Unlike my II's, the III's allow you to replace the inner sole with your orthotics. I had to return the 1st pair and exchange for 1/2 size larger to accommodate my orthotics. Thank you Eric for a very pleasant conversation and return/reorder experience. They just arrived and they are so comfortable right out of the box! I tried another brand for a few days and they didn't have the cut away at the back of the my leg and I know I would get a blister there and would be uncomfortable. I'm sure my Redmond III's will be perfect for my big hike in Peru in 7 weeks :)

Today I literally pulled them from the box and did a 6 mile hike and NO blisters! No sore spots from rubbing. Only wish I would have maybe sized up just a half but with lighter socks I think I’ll be fine. No complaints and can’t wait to see how they feel once they break in more.

One not waterproof

No, I don't recommend this
I bought these six weeks ago and not a single blister in spite of walking ten miles on day one. Really comfortable but one boot is not keeping out the water in wet conditions in spite of allegedly being waterproof.
