Pokémon™ Mega Charmander Construction Set (7+ Yrs)

This has been built up by 10 year old who has thoroughly enjoyed himself. The bright colour, the character and the opportunity to use it for play or display has really thrilled him. It didn’t take long to build with thorough and easy to follow instructions, along with the option to download an app that interacts.

He was able to build it quickly and with very little assistance. It came out cute, larger than expected and looked like the character it was supposed to. The blocks went together well and are comparable to the name brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves Pokemon and this Charmander set was a huge hit! He loves the large size of the character and has enjoyed using it for creative play. However, he is very good at building sets like this and he had a difficult time understanding all of the building instructions. Some of the steps were confusing even for me as an adult. We figured it out together and had a great time with it overall. This is a super fun toy just be prepared to help if a younger child is putting it together.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My boys really like the Pokemon Charmander Mega Contrux. It came with 180 pieces and seemed to keep them occupy for a little time. My 7 year old and 9 year built it. My 9 year had no trouble, but there were a couple spots where the 7 year old needed help. Overall, they really like it.

She had such a great timr trying to figure out how to build it! I was also pleased to see her working on this fire-type Pokemon that stands over 4-inches tall, trying to find right pieces to finish her project.

He went nuts when I gave the box and immediately tore into it to build the Pokémon character. I was impressed with how many pieces there were as I have had other sets that took no time at all to build, not this one he spent a good 30-45 minutes and was so excited to see it completed

There were a lot of pieces in the box with very clear directions to assemble. Putting this together with my son was so much fun. He really enjoys playing with it. When he isn’t, it’s a very cute room decoration. Will purchase more in the future!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bags were not labeled so I couldnot tell what pieces go to what. I had to do this for my child he could not do it by himself. this toy should have been easier to dofor a child.

It wasn't too hard for the nine year old, and his seven year old brother helped a little. They have even played with it multiple times since buildingit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 7 yr old son was lucky to receive this mega blocks Pokémon set from Mattel’s play rate review. He loves Pokémon and charmander is one of his favorite characters! The build was just difficult enough that he didn’t get bored and wasn’t over challenged. He was able to build the set entirely by himself. He has O.D.D and can get easily frustrated but he didn’t with this build. He got stuck in a few areas but was able to figure it out and now has his build next to his bed showing it to everyone proudly. Great toy for any Pokémon fan!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this play, rate, and review item for my 7 year old son who adores Pokémon and building block activities. This was a huge win for him! He usually has a difficult time with LEGO items and their instructions. However, he was able to easily follow along and complete the build for this. It kept him engaged and occupied even after he finished it. The blocks are sturdy and the items moves easily - especially the mouth that opens and closes. Lots of fun and will definitely go out and purchase other sets like this!

The set is similar to Legos, but he had a harder time snapping the pieces together than he normally does; my husband had to help assist with the construction of his character. I guess the good side to that, is it doesn't come apart as easily when he's playing with it.
