I have other Skechers slip-ins and tie. These are a stiffer type of material on the uppers, and in my case, they squeeze the sides of my foot leading up to my toes. I don't think I want to try breaking them in and find out that I still don't like the fit, so they are going back to the store. I have ordered shoes online, like this experience, and found fit issues most times, so I'll just have to stick to going in store and try shoes on.

I have purchased mostly sketchers for the past decade. It's difficult for me to touch my feet because of bad joints, so I have been thrilled with the no hands slip-in feature. This is the first time I have ordered this particular style. I put them on for the first time to attend a party. I actually did very little walking in them before I noticed undue pressure on my left big toe causing the nail to hurt. After having the shoes on for only a few hours, I had to take the left shoe off because of the pain. I was wearing other shoes before I put this particular pair on and I have worn other shoes now for two days without discomfort, so I must conclude it is because of the shoe.

Relaxed Fit Doesn't Make them Longer

Love everything about slip-in skechers except they are the only shoe I have to wear a 9 instead of an 8.5. Thought this "Relaxed Fit" model might work but nope, big toe is up against the inside of the shoe still. I'll have to return them, order a regular size 9, and add a thin foam insert to reduce the extra room for the rest of my foot.

Honestly since I first bought Skechers maybe ten years ago, (I still wear them to work around the house not worn out) all I've bought is Skechers. Including my steel toes for work. And now that I'm older, the Slip-ins are my new go to in shoes. I love the product, I find them very durable as well as comfortable and they don't look like old people shoes
