Italian Leather Slim Belt

I bought this a few years ago and it has started to disintegrate. The buckle point has caught slightly on one of the holes and ripped it and it's now coming apart. I can see this is made of 3 layers: - two shiny leather outer layers - a matt cardboardy inner layer The cardboardy inner layer is made of fibers that can be pulled apart by hand. If that's leather then it's a leather that has lost ALL of it's strength. I suspect it's just some cheap filler. You can see in the pic that I've pulled-out one bit of the filler and then a couple of smaller fiber bits have fallen off without being pulled: it's as soft as a soft cardboard. Hence the review: I don't believe this is 100% leather. It certainly doesn't perform like a solid leather belt. Other solid leather belts I have last decades. I've never washed or treated this in any way: just worn it most days for a couple of years.

This belt is let down for two reasons quality and price. The leather has a cheap feel and little longevity and frankly there are better belts available for less. This is nowhere near the quality of previous M+S Leather belts.

This isn't cheap compared to a lot of other M&S belts, but it delivers the quality you'd expect for the price. I suspect it will last for a long time, which increases the value for money. Good strong leather with a high quality buckle.
