Originally posted on Saucony

The Saucony Guide continues to be my GO TO trail shoe and I’m excited to have another pair in my quiver. They are light, responsive, AND accommodate my custom insoles.

This is my first pair of Saucony shoes and I must admit, they are as good as advertised. The shoes are lightweight and mold perfectly to my feet. Highly recommend.

I’ve never actually heard of this brand before. American Express had an offer that I couldn’t pass up on. I got like $30 back. I wanted to pick up running However, I have two broken toes and running Is uncomfortable sometimes. These shoes have saved the day. I really enjoy picking them up every time.

Awesome for big runners!

At 265lbs, 6’6 and the flattest of feet, these give me the stability I need to log any type of run. Every year they seem to get just slightly more comfortable with the newest edition!

Best shoe I've ever had
Originally posted on Saucony

I purchased the Guide 17 this past year and I absolutely love them. They are the best shoes I've ever had. I came from Altras and Topos and the Saucony is my preference. The only complaint I have, is the baby toe area on the shoe is slightly narrow. This was a complaint I had with Saucony on my old Hurricanes.

Sole Life - Guide and Peregrine
Originally posted on Saucony
Saucony has always been the best fir for my feet. Smaller heel and roomy toe box. I've had dozens of Sauconys over the past decade or so and currently have a couple pair of Guides, one pair of Peregrines, and a couple others. The only complaint I have about Saucony is they seemed to now make the soles to intentionally wear out much quicker than before. I guess it allows more sales for Saucony as soles wear out quickly. but it is discouraging to have to replace them so often when the uppers are still in good shape. As a result, I've tried a few pair of Altras lately, which fit just almost as well, but provide at least twice the life on the soles. My use is mostly walking (20 miles/week) and light hiking (10 miles/week).

Great Fit but Questionable Quality.
Originally posted on Saucony
No, I don't recommend this
I have been using Saucony Guide shoes on and off for over 15 years. I recently purchased the Guide 18 online and was very pleased with the fit. However, I had to return it because of a defect — the glue between the mesh and the sole was very noticeable and did not fully hold the mesh together. The replacement pair also had visible glue on the outside, which makes me wonder durability and lack of quality control.

Feel great right out of the box.

I just got a pair of these in the mail yesterday. It's been a long time since I've bought any decent running shoes and never spent this much money before. I'm 74 years old with arthritis and sore feet so I don't run anymore but I have been looking for comfortable and stable walking shoe. Wow! Straight out fo the box these shoes feel so much better than anything thing else I've been wearing recently or in the past. I guess it's true you get what you pay for. I might have to try a pair of Huricane 25s next.

Favorite daily runners
Originally posted on Saucony
Yes, I recommend this
These are my favorite daily runners. Enough stability, good cushion, fine rebound and just a predictable, solid, comfortable shoe that I feel like I can both push and go easy in (and everything in between!). Past shoes have been Hoka Arahi, Brooks Adrenaline, Hoka Kawana, Asics Kayano and the Guides are my favorite, by far. Fit is great for me - solid and secure in the heel, top and sides with good space in the toe box (which is hard to find!). On my second pair after ~400+ miles in the first pair.

I have run through 9 pairs of Guide 17s in the last 1.5 years. This 18 was my first exposure to the new version. First, it wears smaller than the 17. At the same size, my smaller toes rub at the end of the shoe while running in the 18. I can't tell if anything has changed in the stability design in this version, but I always felt an amazing comfort when I put on a new pair of 17s. The 18s didn't hit me that way. I'll get a half size larger again and see if anything changes.

Started falling apart very quickly, wouldn't recommend this version. I've had great Saucony Guide before, but the Guide 18 seem to have worse quality.

Love them!! Super comfy and roomy and light.
Originally posted on Saucony
Have run with these 50+ kms already and I LOVE them. Great for lung runs as they are super comfy and theres a lot of room in the toe area for my wide-ish feet. They are everything BUT a speed shoe. Which is expected as they are meant to be for zone 2 / recovery and long runs!

I have been running 5km twice a week in these shoes for over 6 months now. These shoes are as comfortable as the day I bought them. They have been put through their paces and there has been no fraying or ripping of the uppers. The sole still retains tread and the feel is phenomenal. I love my Guide 18s
