Love the shoe. Comfortable cushiony and supportive ride - curious why the color is coming off around the sole

Great shoes! This is my second pair of Guide 18s. I put a lot of mileage on my shoes and I’ve found that these hold up great while also providing comfort. Love them.

Extraordinary

I bought the shoe before I three week vacation in Japan. I put in over 100 miles walking through four cities. I’ve ever had a shoe that held up so well. From the look, to the pure comfort, and technical design, the shoe came through.

Felt well cushioned, sadly wouldn't work for me. My feet are horrifically flat, so the walk around my living room was all I got. Based off of everything else I'm sure they would have been great. Had a different model and zero complaints.

Good cushionong slightly small
Originally posted on Saucony
I have had three pair of the Guide 17s both normal and wide. The Guide 18 was smaller length wide than previous models, probably a quarter size shorter. This causes blisters and front Toe rub on even the slightest downhill gradient. Toe box was great and the cushoning was perfect. Hard to order online if the sizing consistency fluctuates enough the shoe fits different each time.

Heel Flare Tendinitis

Tried the Guide because Kinvara 16 caused me to have Achilles tendinitis, but the Guide has the same issue. The heel curve and flare is too severe causing repeated over-extension of the Achilles tendons.

First time buyer wearing Guide 18 and am very content. Had to return first pair and reorder in Wide made the difference. The cushioning helps my hip pain very well. Am currently wearing them daily in Guadalajara Jalisco MX while relocating. Great fit and arch support.

I HATE THIS SHOE! This is thee most uncomfortable shoe I have ever ran in. Walking in them isn't that great either. Causes extreme uncomfortable stress on my calves. I tried at least 3 times running in them - same results every time. If I could return these for a refund, I would quick and in a hurry. AVOID THIS SHOE!!! I will stick with Triumphs and Kinvaras.

feels tight in the front
Originally posted on Saucony
I’ve been a big fan of Saucony for years — my previous pair lasted me 5 years and was incredibly comfortable. That’s why I was excited to purchase a new pair. Unfortunately, this recent pair feels tight in the front, and my pinky toe hurts when I wear them. I’d love to get back to the comfort I’ve always loved from Saucony.

Not a fan of the latest updates

Maybe this works for many, but after running in Guides for years I had to switch brands. I am just not happy at all with the new design and I finally have run out of Guide 15 and 16s. This does not feel near the same at all, and was very disappointed that I have to leave my favorite shoe.

Comfortable and supportive

They’re very comfortable. I no longer run and bought these in hopes of having a good walking shoe that protects my lower back. These do both.

When at the local running store, I was given multiple shoes and brands to try on, and these "felt" the best and most comfortable for me and my feet. I had never owned a Saucony product, and had zero brand loyalty. I've since run over 300 miles in them, and can say that these shoes are great for me! The stability is great, and while yes a bit heavy they help "guide" me, and have great support. Great for easy runs, long runs and occasional tempo. My last pair lasted 300+ miles, before I decided to open a new box. Good company to deal with.

Really enjoying these shoes. Very supportive and comfortable. I was dealing with shin splints and these have really helped alleviate the pain to where my shin splints are almost completely gone. Highly recommend

Not worth it.

These shoes are trash compared to the older Guide series. Save your money and buy a way more expensive Sacony shoe or just make the switch to Hoka. I work in healthcare and I'm on my feet all day. I prefer my 2 year old beat up Guides that were no longer supporting my feet over these.

Overall a good quality shoe. I use for my recovery runs. They are a heavyer shoe. But they are not marketed for a speed shoe. So the shoe is what its supposed to be.

If you like to feel like you're falling backwards
Originally posted on Saucony
No, I don't recommend this
It was a much lower quality shoe than I expected. And though it functions well as a shoe, I find that it makes me feel like I'm always leaning backward, there's a really large cushion under the front of my feet and less cushion at the heels. It just makes me feel very awkward walking in them, I feel like I need to walk on my tip-toes to break in the front cushion so that the shoe evens out. Don't think it will anytime soon.
