A bit disappointed unfortunately

I ordered this plant with lights as a modern & reusable alternative to a small real Christmas tree in our dining room. The basket it comes in is lovely & the lights look sweet & festive. I read online that you can trim off any black bits at the end of the leaves but they do grow back & as more than half the original leaves had them it’s becoming a bit of a chore. The new leaves that have grown at the top of the plant are pretty perfect.
