Detachable Straps Pleated Maxi Dress

Purchased for my upcoming cruise this elegant dress feels nice on. Having read the reviews I ordered a size bigger than normal which fit just right. I can't comment on the length as I always have to take up dresses being 5'. It would be nice to have a petite option. Very nice dress and great value.

I really do love this dress but there is a design fault. The rubber trim around the top edge of the dress which is to help the bodice stay in place is badly placed, especially when the detachable straps are in position. The strap holders are positioned too low and pull the bodice up so that the top of the dress turns over and the rubber trim shows. As I am a sewer I am able to see the design fault and can alter the positioning of the straps to correct this problem. I may even make wider straps from the material which I will need to cut off to shorten it to suit my height, which is admittedly only 5 feet 2inches. I cannot quite understand why the designer didn't spot this fault and sort it before it went to manufacturing stage . Other than this comment it is a very nice dress ,well made with good fabric and excellent value in the sale .

Very happy with my purchase of this dress for a formal night on a cruise. The fit is perfect, as is the length which is just right for my 5'5" height. Even better the dress was reduced in the sale.

I ordered the teal colour of this long evening/bridesmaid dress last week on-line, and am very pleased with my purchase, especially as it was a sale item. The colour is beautiful, the length just right (I am 5' 7") and the pleated bodice detail very elegant with the added advantage of straps. A very good dress to pack for a cruise holiday.

Ordered couple of dresses, liked look of this, but not available in short length but took chance on regular length as would be wearing with high heels, but was way too long, I am 5ft 2 bit disappointed as was lovely dress. But alternative was a hit.

Lovely dress the only issue is you have to be about six foot for the length of it. I liked the style the fit was good and gave a good shape it was just the length for me that was an issue. Would like to see this style dress being offered as a short option.

Bought as potential bridesmaid dress - 3 bridesmaids tried it on. The dress fit very nicely however the top of the dress was not a very flattering shape across the chest area.

Lovely dress and good value for money. Only disappointment would be the straps if you wanted to use them, thought they could be better.

I have to say this is one lovely dress, quality is good only thing is because of the wonderful pleated front any bust over a D has to go one size up, not a problem really just needs a mention when buying one .

Bulky, heavy and oversized it is made of thick, cheap material. it made me look overly heavy and the bust was huge and padded with a sticky rim!!! So not flattering at all. I am usually a petite size 8 or 10. It also came a day later than I had paid for, but fortunately they refunded my delivery charge as well. I think if it was made of a lot lighter, sheer silk with a thousands times thinner slip it would be lovely. All the sticky gum at the bust and padding could go, ditto the thick nylon lining, bust wadding and seams ... it was so thick and heavy, like wearing a black welly!
