Checked Comfort Trousers

Buy asize smaller than you normally take as they are a little on the big side

I had high hopes for these comfort trousers. I ordered long, but they are way too short. I prefer a wider ankle, but this was so-so. Fabric colours good. Weave was awful, so may open long threads just waiting to pull and break, resulting in a cheap tacky fabric. The fabric was the reason for my return.

Funny how we’re all so different! My waist is too big for my bottom and thighs so an elastic waist (always hidden on me because I don’t suit tucked in!) means I could go down to size 8 in these and they fit perfectly. I find them comfortable and with the right top, not ‘frumpy’. Our varying opinions in these reviews possibly explain why retailers carry so many styles!

These were quite short in the leg (I got regular) and quite a small size 12. I have a pair of checked similar trousers size 12 regular and they were perfect - hence ordered this blue pair - unfortunately I cannot take back as I took the labels off and really they are too small

Not at all impressed. Tried to convince myself the material must look better than the picture - it didn’t. The lady who describes it as “frumpy” is right. The online description was confusing. Looking for straight leg styles I missed the detail of tapered leg. Promptly returned. Sometimes you can have too much choice. M & S trousers come into this category, both in store and on line.

I love the look and feel of these trousers. Great with trainers or heels.
