Linen Mini Shift Dress

A smart yet easy to wear sundress which is easy to wash and iron. Good value too. Could have done with pockets although i guess this would have added to price. My friend has the same and it was seeing it on her that prompted me to order straight away. She didn’t mind!

It was exactly as described but creased before I wore it. I guess this is the linen in it but not for me. A good little number and right price for someone though

Great pull over dress and I would have gone for 5 stars for style had it not got the fatal M & S flaw- the armholes as far too big but overall I liked it so much I orderd a size smaller as well but have kept this one too. A small point I mentioned one fatal flaw but could I mention another M & S flaw. The labels have such a rough edge they rub against my skin and I cut tem off. I can't be the only one to feel this.

I bought this on impuls, thinking of next years heatwave (?). These dresses have often had bad reviews regarding armholes, neck line etc. Somehow this one ticks all the right boxes and is better than several of this kind of design that I have bought over the last two or three years. All in all....fits well, hangs well, good length ( just over the knee), good colour, good fabric quirky neckline with three buttons at the back. Not washed yet.

This could have been such a simple but elegant dress. However, I didn't notice the hem detail when I ordered - once on, I felt it just looked like a nightshirt. I liked everything else about it and thought about re-hemming it straight, but in the end returned it. Please M&S, have in mind that sometimes simple=classic and works better. Produce it again with a straight hem and more colours and I think this could be a winner.

Flattering style and fit. Not at all short. Can dress up or down.
