Checked Double Breasted Trench Coat

Although this coat quality is excellent it was not for me. The colour didn’t suit me. So I had to send it back.

I was very pleased with the trench Mac/ coat. It was an excellent fit, the fabric was a pleasing design. A good length for dresses as well as trousers.Comfortable to wear.Friends have commented on the appearance. I also purchased it on the sale, an added bonus! Thank you M&S for a very wearable item.

Lovely coat with a good fit. Ideal for those slightly warmer autumn days

It is a good length and the quality is fine. It feels as though it would be a good warm mac for the winter. However, the colours are not as expected. With this year’s colour being warm autumn and berry colours, the stripes are a very odd mix of colours including red and a grey brown. The fit is nice through the shoulders but way too much fabric from the waist down making it feel gathered and uncomfortable. I am a 10-12 on the top, 10 waist and a 12-14 on the bottom, so a pear shaped figure. Would be perfect for apple shapes!

The coat is lovely but the fit is a little odd, the top buttons do not sit right across the chest and the lower buttons sit where the pockets lie. The pockets therefore cannot be used fully i.e. you cannot put your hand or say a phone in them. Slightly too long in the sleeves, I know another review suggested rolling up but this ruins the look. Otherwise great colour, materials etc but I had to return it.

I am very pleased with purchase. A nice check pattern and material is good quality; you can see it is coated with a water repellent, just what is needed in the rain. Well made and lined too. The fit is to size but I bought one size larger as wearing thicker clothes in the winter I need extra room to move, so would recommend one size larger.

The coat has a sophisticated look, great to wear with my formals.

I was a bit disappointed by this item, I was looking for something to wear in the autumn, but the material was super thin and had a weird texture. Unfortunately I had to return, as it is definitely not my taste. Might be better for others :)

Love this trench coat !! The sleeves are a little long but I just turn them up to the sleeve strap so its fine.Would wait to see if a petite version is coming but I prefer the longer length of the regular size!
