This year, we’re loving them boyfriend style, with a relaxed, mid-thigh fit (the era of visible bum cheek is definitely over) and high-rise shape, great for accentuating your waist. Wear with a bright slogan T-shirt, white trainers and cross-body bag for casual summer days – a hoodie is your go-to layer if it gets cold.

On truly scorching summer days, all you need is a towel, a swimsuit and a beach – plus a pair of denim shorts to sling on when you have to go in search of a Calippo.
