Great set of lights
Yes, I recommend this
Great lights for the price, a good colour, lots of lights on the wire and having the timer is such a benefit. Not sure how people are having problems with them - I found them easy to unwind, and used a knife to unscrew the screw for the battery compartment without any problems. Very easy to set up and look great in my kitchen!

Great delicate looking wire warm lights.
Bought originally for a craft project but then discovered the lights on my table top white twig tree had stopped working. Rather than discard the tree and buy another, I wove these wire ones around the tree which are perfect. Even better as they are battery operated so now I can place the tree anywhere rather than having to be near a plug socket. The battery casing is white so it's almost hidden in the stand.

Great Christmas lights

Great set of lights that I purchased for Christmas wreaths. The timer is valuable . So far the batteries have lasted too

Terrible packaging - NOT as illustrated.
No, I don't recommend this
The lights packaging was not as illustrated, see photo. The tightly coiled wire took me ages to unwind. Had to use my computer building toolkit to find a suitable Philips screwdriver. I understand others frustrations.

Very pretty little lights
Yes, I recommend this
Very pretty little lights just what I needed for my pop up tree! As some have noted, the screw in the battery compartment is tight, but once you've initially opened it, then it's totally fine - it just takes patience, perseverance and the right screw driver - don't let this put you off!

Couldn’t open the battery compartment. When I forced it open and inserted the batteries it wouldn’t light up. Can’t return it now. Not happy.

Modern yet minimalistic Christmas lights
Yes, I recommend this
Lovely little lights I’ve used to enhance a mini Christmas tree in a spot where I’ve no mains power nearby. Plenty of lights on the wire, but you’ll need patience to untangle them to start with! I found it easier to start in a room and then unwind as I walked around the house. Come with batteries too which was good. And I like the timer option.

Not easy to install batteries
No, I don't recommend this
The battery pack was extremely difficult to open. A Philips screwdriver did not work (as recommended on the instructions) and a tiny screwdriver for watch repairs did not work. I had to ply open the battery pack and break it in order to be able to put the batteries in. The lights are nice, but based on the battery pack I would not recommend these.

Cant remove battery safety screw
No, I don't recommend this
These would be excellent value - except…the battery compartment has a safety screw that cant be removed, even with a specialist screwdriver. I couldnt be bothered returning them, so broke the cover off below the screw. They work perfectly, just unfortunate about the battery cover. Judging on other reviews, im not alone with this issue.

Faulty
No, I don't recommend this
Bought these in store and sadly no longer have the receipt and have wrapped them around a garland. The screw for the battery pack is faulty and will not open, even with small Philips screwdrivers.

Not good
I bought two packs of these last week and I’m having to return them as the little screw you have to open on the battery pack just won’t budge! The screw is the tinniest screw you’ve ever seen. You need something like the screw driver from a glasses repair kit to even try to open it and in both my packs the screw seems stuck.

Subtle, effective, string fairy lights.
Yes, I recommend this
Love the delicate subtle lighting. Currently displayed in large glass bowl (also previously purchased from M&S) A much better look than plug in variety, easier to hide switch. Great having timer to automatically switch on and off.
