Very comfortable
I needed some trainers or similar that weren't clumpy and smart enough to wear with any trousers. These fit the bill. A little bit close around the ankle, even allowing for the lacing, but this will soften with wear.

A long time customer of M&S and Hotter. Sizing is reliable. If I choose a size 6, I choose a wide fit, to ensure toes wriggle room, and wear across the seasons, eg with trainer socks/ankle socks, thicker in winter. Well made in England. Suede and Manmade fibre netting type finish. Lace up. I prefer eyelets rather than loops to thread the laces through. This style has loops and flat laces, which results in twisted laces caused by the loops. I prefer laces, (or buckle fastenings), rather than touch close and/or or zips fastenings. I have a high instep, which this style allows sufficient space.

Good looking shoe
These shoes looked great and definitely had the toe width I was seeking. The only criticism was that I found the heel too firm and it rubbed the back of my heel. I would have preferred a softer feel to the whole shoe.

These are smart looking trainers, very comfortable although a bit sloppy on the heel , but I do have this problem with shoes so probably me and not the fit. I very rarely order shoes on line for this reason but knowing I could return them easily helped my decision. One good point about Hotter shoes is they do half sizes, a rarity nowadays.

Needed some wide fit smart trainers for holiday walking .These fit my wide feet nicely. I chose the grey colour and I like the bit of silver that brightens them up. I gave them 4 stars not 5 as the inner sole could do with being a little more cushioned for me. I put an insole inside which also helps to support the arch of my rather flat feet. I’ve found lately that hotter insoles are less cushioned than they used to be which is a shame as I have always found them great for that before.
