Bright Chablis with gorgeous almond and flower aromas. Apricot notes on the palate are followed by a flint and lemon-peel tangy crispness on the finish.
Chablisiens pride themselves on the distinctive minerality of their wines and believe this nuance comes directly from the chalky soils on which the region's vineyards lie. This fine white comes from upper and middle Kimmeridgian subsoils alternating limestone and marl with fossilised Exogyra virgula - a type of oyster shell. Extra richness has been gained by ageing this wine in very fine-grained French oak barrels.

A pleasant wine, very good value at the price I got it, about £7.40 a bottle. I thought Its type was more New World Chardonnay than French white burgundy, it doesn't have the depth of flavour associated with that area but was appreciated by my guests.
