Carved Button Dressing Gown

I've been wearing my dressing gown for a few months now, it is very soft and warm. Sometimes I sleep in it-very comfortable. Yes, to fasten all those buttons can be a chore but it looks pretty, however I had to sew almost all of them back to the gown as they were very loosely fixed. Be warn though-as cozy as it is you can become too hot and sweaty in it, apparently the fabric doesn't have thermoregulating qualities . Nevertheless, I like it because it is soft, warm pretty and easy to look after. Btw, both lengths look lovely and I struggled which one to choose, inventually decided to retain the longer one as it is intended to be keeping warmth.

The only redeeming feature of this robe was that it was a button through style. I ordered two sizes. One came with a dirty blotch on it, the other had a button drop off before I even tried to fasten it. The fabric felt cosy, and would be warm, but was unsuitable for the shawl collar design. A flat style, e.g. Mandarin or a flat V would have been better. Pockets were in the side seams, so again the thick fabric was unsuitable, and actually made such a wodge of fabric on the hips I would have needed the larger size just to accommodate their bulk. Only white and very pale pink colour options. I'd prefer a darker colour rather than something that will look grubby however often it is washed.

Did not keep item. Too small and shapeless.

Buttons are good much better than a wrap around or a zip.

Ordered for my 81 year old mum as wanted a button up gown. Material and length was lovely but the buttonholes are too tight. Both my sister and I struggled so there was no way my mum would be able to do up the gown. Real shame M&S are not thinking of their older customers. Would have kept if buttonholes not a problem but had to return. Please M&S go back to basics.

Shame as this looks a lovely warm dressing gown but sadly not firt for purpose as the button holes are too small for the buttons, so extremely difficult to undo or do up,

Beautiful cosy dressing gown, lovely raised floral texture, pretty colour.

Lovely pale pink colour, very soft fabric and the reason I chose this dressing gown is because it has buttons and is not wrap around.

This item is lovely and so snug. I'm a size 16 and the size I ordered was a 12/14 and it fitted perfectly. Very happy.

Just bought this for my mother in law because we needed one in a hurry which does up at the front, well the buttons are very tight so am hoping that she will manage them, she is 92 and really have to say the quality of this is quite bad for M & S

I love this fleecy dressing gown as it's so warm on a cold winter's night. The buttons are a bit tight to unfasten but as I prefer to put it over my head, it doesn't bother me. The pockets are fairly deep which keep my hands warm. I would have preferred it a bit longer in length, but that's my only qualm. It washes OK on the woollen cycle of the washing machine and I find it tumble dries OK on the cool setting. I did buy a larger size as I do like extra room.

The dressing gown was buttoned up when I bought it.When I tried on the buttons were too tight so I put it on over my head.The fit was fine but before finally deciding wether to keep I tried the buttons again.I could not undo them so I returned the item. I told the assistant the problem. Thinking it was just a one off I tried the buttons on another one in the shop, they were also very tight. For this reason I would not recommend the dressing gown. I hope someone will check the buttons.

This dressing gown is a re-hash of a similar item that was for sale last year. It looks to be the same fabric but the styling is not so good. So it has been returned. I constantly ask myself why M and S cannot produce the well designed button through and zipped dressing gowns of the past? now there's a challenge.
