Bathtub drain protector.

Life Saver For anyone out there who Sheds
Originally posted on influenster.com
I have a lot of long hair. Naturally when I shower I’ll tend to shed some in the shower. This has saved my life when it comes to cleaning out my drains. If you are dealing with any amount of shedding and the thought of snaking your pipes makes you sick I highly recommend buying this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The OXO Good Grip Bathtub Drain Protector fits perfectly and works great. The unit fits snug on the drain and the silicone rim keeps it from sliding around. Our house is filled with long hair girls and it drains always seem to attract it, this unit stops it from going down and causing back ups. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and easy to remove if you so not want it in. Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This drain easily covered our tub/shower drain and the rubber edges keeps it in place well. The smaller holes easily catch any/all hair that attempts to go down the drain. The clean up is easy as it also releases the hair without resistance and without the cover moving around. However, if you shed a lot, you make have to clean it off more than once or after every shower as it will cover quickly and doesn't shift to the sides of the cover but covers the entire thing. Overall, it has worked very well!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried all sorts of drain protectors. I love the Oxo Bathtub drain protector. I have an old cast iron tub. This has a rubber edging that is wide and holds tight to the edges of the divet that contains the drain. The openings remind me of a tiny cheese grater. This design allows water to flow, but catches the hair! I bathe a Great Pyrenees with long hair. This stops it and I'm able with one hand to pull it from the drain protector without shifting the drain. This is a game changer that isn't bulky and cleans in the dishwasher!

Want to love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have four girls in my house, so hair in the bathtub drain is a constant thing. I picked this up because we’re constantly trying to fish clogs out of our drain and I want to love it so much. It’s over top of the existing drain and my struggle with it is that moves around a lot. It does a great job of catching hair and stopping it, but to the point that the holes are so small it sometimes will actually act as a stopper and water will pool if there’s too much hair caught in it. I guess that means it’s working really well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in an older house amd the plumbing is just as old. It's a work in progress as we update bit by bit. However, replacing the whole house is a LONG way down the road. That being said, I've been on the hunt to find a solution to hair and stuff going down the drain and clogging up the very narrow pipe system we live with. The Good Grips Drain Protector is AWESOME! It allows the water to flow through easily, but catches the hair, soap bits, and random kids toys with ease. The fact that I can easily lift if out is super helpful to keep it clean and the water flowing. This time little guy has saved me so much time amd money on unclogging the drain. It's a life saver.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using a plastic hair catcher in my shower, but this metal one with the silicone around the edges is much better. The silicon means it stays put and doesn't slide off, even when the water from the faucet hits it. And it's very easy to get the hair off the top after the shower. It's also simple to remove and clean.

DOES WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Good Grips bathtub drain cover is simply designed and is practical and useful. There's nothing special about it, but it gets the job done. It is easy to put set in place and remove for cleaning. The silicone ring helps It stay in place. It does what it's supposed to by keeping the hair from entering the drain and it prevents clogs. I would like to see a sturdier and heavier version of this one. I don't believe this will last my family for more than a year from now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this a little while ago and absolutely am very happy with it. I was a little concerned if it would fit my drain. It fits my drain and it’s so nice not to have things go down the drain. It catches even the littlest of things. It’s a very great product. I highly recommend.
