This light is suitable for use outside, but the mains adaptor needs to be inside or in a weatherproof outdoor socket. The outdoor socket should have a cover and a rubber seam to keep out moisture and be rated IP44. If you do no have an outdoor socket you can feed the cable into a garage, outbuilding, shed, or through a window.

Yes, I recommend this
I bought these for my 7ft tree, it was very easy to wrap them around tree, the colours are very attractive and different from the norm. Love the different functions too, would have been perfect with a slow twinkle option and if the remote control sensor was on the wire hidden in tree rather than on plug

Barely covered half the tree. Very pretty and good quality but expensive for what they are. I had to buy another set which were half the price, better and arrived quicker.
