A well made and well finished piece
Yes, I recommend this
A lovely sideboard with good quality door and drawer closing. The oak is a super colour and good finish. The gently curved corners give it a friendly style. The light patina means it has settled into its new home looking as if it has been here for years.

Inconsistent finish on items
No, I don't recommend this
My wife and I ordered on-line what we saw first hand in-store at our local M&S. We ordered a coffee table, a media/tv unit, a nest of tables and a two door side-board. It all arrives as promised. All perfect... Except for the side board. It is HEAVILY marked on its upper surface. We didn't see that in store as that had the cabinet/shelves on top along with sales paraphernalia. The upper surfaces of all items we ordered and have here at home and those same items in store are beautifully finished. No marks whatsoever. The side board was sent back on the day. We ordered a replacement. Waited over two weeks... Same problem. M&S on the phone quote in their defense that ALL items are supposed to be 'distressed' as a characteristic. It does NOT say that in their "Spring 2015" catalog. You have to look online for that.... New item arrived and it is equally as marked. It got sent back (again).... We are VERY disappointed. Cancelled order and received a refund. I say again - we are very disappointed. I just wish it had said distressed in the catalog and why don't all items in the same range match????
