Product code: 29149315
Nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees, the gastronomic region of Gascony produces exuberant wines from their local grape - Gros Manseng.
The Gros Manseng variety thrives in the Gascony area where warm days and fresh nights give expressive aromas and a zesty freshness. Traditionally this variety has been used mainly for sweet wines, or in blends with other Gascony indigenous grape varietals. Winemaker Nicolas Duffour has worked closely with Gros Manseng and is very proud of this fine example with great expression and refined citrus flavours. In youth the Gros Manseng is fresh and easy, but 6 to 8 months after harvest a complex blend of aromas explodes. This versatility makes it a wonderful companion for the local duck liver pâté, its acidity balancing the fattiness, while the aromatics and lively style is ideal for pairing with Asian food.

Delicious wine and good price
Yes, I recommend this
I first came across this grape only recently and it is great find. The wine is quite aromatic and fairly dry. It can be hard to find, but M&S seems to have a good stock (at least at the time of writing.)

Good service
This was a gift so I cannot comment on the taste, etc. I can comment on the delivery - important as it was a birthday gift. Spot on - arrived exactly on the birthday.

Delicious!

Picked up a bottle of this in store to try and ended up ordering a case online. To me it smells like really ripe peaches - the ones where the juice drips down your arm as you eat them. It goes really well with our favourite Chinese takeaway but also on its own, well chilled.

This wine is different. It is a grape I have never met. At first it tastes slightly sweet, then spicy so can’t make up my mind if I would buy it again. It is intriguing. Ask me after the 3 rd tasting

Great Tasting Wine
Yes, I recommend this
This is a tasty wine from Gascony. It is a little stronger, 12.5 vs 11% abv, than many wines from that region. Goes well with fish or fowl, but fine on its own, too.
