Great set, “wrong” colour.

Yes, I recommend this
I love the idea of this set, for the nostalgia and for how building this set feels like being in a time warp watching the telephone go through its changes in time, right under your hands! So yes, the idea is great… but the colour is “wrong” because it takes away from the design; the colours that were chosen for the telephones and the pencil, give the design too much of a kid’s toy vibe to my liking. I would have preferred a colour that would make it all a bit more realistic. So even when I was building, I knew that this would be the first set I was going to rebuild in a different colour. I got excited about rebuilding this set in the colours that would really give me the nostalgic feels…! The colours that I wanted to rebuild the telephones in, would have been “Brick Yellow” (that’s the colour of phone I grew up with). While looking up the bricks and pieces I would need to make the transformation, I discovered that some bricks and pieces aren’t available in “Brick Yellow”. (Big disappointment!) After I recovered from the disappointment, I decided that it would be funny to rebuild the retro telephone to look like the president’s red phone, as seen in movies and series. But again; certain bricks and pieces aren’t available in that colour. That’s when I decided to settle for “Stone Grey”. In addition to that, I was going to rebuild the pencil to make it look like the more common yellow pencil I grew up with, including its reddish-pink eraser. The other adaptations I was going to make were: - the coiled telephone cord. Mine was going to be black and a bit longer; the cord of the original set is too short in my opinion. Even for kids. Which is why I gave it four starst for playability. - the dial. Mine was going to be black and I’m thinking of using Lego Dots’ stickers to add numbers to the dial. Not all of the bricks and pieces to replace the blue of the original set are available in “Stone Grey” or black, but I found great solutions/options for those. I’m happy with the result and I love having it displayed on a side table, looking like it could start ringing at any moment…!

Fun Lego Toy
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Per usual, Lego delivered a durable and fun experience to our little one. It isn’t an actual phone; but my child loves to pretend her battery is dead, or have never ending parents conversations with family and friends. It was easy to put together, and easy to move parts from place to place.

The only downside is having to potentially purchase more than one because all three options are beautiful. This set is so fun and quick to put together.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had so much fun putting this together. As of now it’s the retro telephone but I think I’m going to take it all apart and make the other two. It’s currently sitting on my desk and is so cute!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always love these 3-in-1 designs because they allow you to make three unique sets that are always a lot of fun to build. As always, instructions are easy to follow whatever design you decide to go with. You don't need an engineering degree to build something interesting. I love these retro designs because they always result in something special and durable. These are great for all ages based on fun and difficulty. The colors are fun and bright.

3 in 1

The main build, a vintage rotary-style phone, nails the old-school look with its chunky handset and dial details, making it feel like a little time machine for your shelf. What makes it even cooler is the 3-in-1 design—you can rebuild it into a classic camera or a retro typewriter, both equally fun and display-worthy. The build itself is relaxing but still engaging, with enough neat techniques to keep it interesting for adults while being approachable for younger builders too. It’s one of those sets that feels less like a toy and more like a conversation piece, perfect for anyone who loves a mix of nostalgia and creativity.

RING RING!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a little girl, LEGO was not on my radar. As an adult, my interest was piqued so I was happy to give this nostalgic Retro Telephone set a try! Having put together furniture before (iykyk), I found the LEGO process to be similar but without the aggravation! My favorite is probably the retro rotary phone but I also loved the “Zack Morris” phone too! Although I did have a little difficulty undoing some of the small and flat pieces, this LEGO 3 In 1 set is definitely fun for all ages.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was so fun to put together. It’s pretty easy as well, only took me about an hour maybe. It’s a bit smaller than I thought but I love that it’s a 3 in 1, I created the telephone but there are two others you can make.

This specific telephone can even change shape and become a cellphone. Price is reasonable and it’s good quality lego pieces so gonna last me a long time.

Super cute, easy to build and fun to display. It has 383 pieces and it’s for kids and adults. The instructions are easy to follow.

An eye catching piece!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set was SO much fun to put together! The Lego instructions are always easy to follow and the pieces are clearly identified. I did all 3 designs in one night easily - the only thing to note is that it does not come with a tool to help disassemble the designs so it might be a bit tedious if you do not have one on hand from a different set. The corded phone is so realistic as there is a rubber band inside that enables the dial to spin like an old phone!

Perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LEGO Retro Telephone impresses with its durability, thanks to sturdy brick construction that holds up well over time. Its design is charmingly nostalgic, capturing vintage vibes with playful detail. While it’s a display piece, not a real phone, the sound quality element is purely decorative. Since there’s no actual power source, battery life isn’t a factor, and its lightweight build gives it great portability, making it easy to move or showcase anywhere. Battery life very strong .

Love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A blast from the past you can actually build. This set nails the retro vibe while giving you three fun ways to reinvent it because who doesn’t want to turn a classic telephone into something totally different? The rotary actually does turn within an elastic band mechanism. The interchangeable sticky notes is a cute touch along with a pen next to the telephone. Easy to follow instructions with picture by picture of pages.
