Ditsy Floral Print Bardot Dress (6-16 Yrs)

Bought this dress for my very fussy ten year old and she looks lovely in it. Perfect length and can wear off the shoulder or on. Would look great with pumps, sandals or even trainers

Pretty fabric and nicely made. However, worth considering your child's build and height before purchasing. My daughters are narrow in the back and my youngest is very slender. The Bardot style isn't really suitable if your child has a similar build as it tends to gape at the back and slip off the shoulders more than it should. My 10 year old ended up with the age 8 dress originally intended for my 8 year old, and I have returned the age 10-11 dress. Luckily the length is generous and sat nicely just below the knee (my daughters are both tall for their age). Generally I find the sizing in children clothes quite generous at M&S, so I'd advise measuring your child carefully before ordering and considering, in some circumstances, a year younger than their actual age. The free returns by post is good though so I'd certainly order online again.

Eldest granddaughter usually prefers to wear trousers but thought this dress looked good. Loved it so much mum ordered her the floral one as well.
