Book & Shop FAQs

  • Our Sparks Book & Shop allows customers to reserve a slot online at a time that suits them and removes the need to queue – we’ll be listening carefully to customer feedback

    It’s an important part of our efforts to make shopping easier for our customers and continuing to help them shop with confidence during this unprecedented time.

  • Customers reserve a slot online to shop in-store and then visit the store at the specified time. Book and Shop means customers won’t have to join the queue to shop in-store, should there be one. In the current climate we are encouraging to keep it to one person per slot however for customers requiring assistance, stores might be able to accommodate an additional customer in the same slot.

  • As you know - given social distancing, our stores may have queues, particularly at busy times. Sparks Book & Shop will help manage footfall across the day meaning customers will be able to book a slot that suits them and won’t need to queue on arrival.

  • Please click here for the list of stores available to book and shop. You can reserve a slot online and visit the store to shop at the specified time.

  • In the current climate we are encouraging to keep it to one person per slot however for customers requiring assistance, stores might be able to accommodate an additional customer in the same slot. But it will be the store's discretion to determine if a customer requires assistance so please ring the store if you need any assistance.

  • This service is focused on foods but customers can also collect Click and Collect orders during their timeslot.

  • The easiest way to book your slot is online by clicking here. Simply search for your local store using your postcode or store name, where you will be able to book with all participating stores.

  • The number of slots available will vary from store to store and is based on a range of factors, e.g. size of the store.

  • You can cancel or amend your booking slot from a link provided on the booking confirmation email. Simply open your email confirmation and click on the link provided where you can cancel or amend the day and time.

  • Of course. However, in line with government guidance and in order to maintain social distancing, there may be a short queue. Customers that book a slot will not need to queue.

  • Booking a slot removes the need to join the queue, should there be one.

  • Customers can call our Service team who will be happy to help. Please find our contact centre details here. When calling our service team, simply say ‘Book a shopping slot’ when prompted, and we will put you through to the correct team.

    Customers will need to provide an email address to confirm the booking.

    Alternatively customers can speak to our instore colleagues who will be able to book a future visit.

  • No.

  • Customers can call our Customer Service Team who will be happy to arrange this for them or speak to a colleague in store.

  • Once customers are in the store, they do their shop as they would usually in the time it would usually take them.

  • Sparks Book & Shop will help to distribute footfall across the entire day, meaning fewer customers will have to queue.

  • On every hour and half hour, from open until close.

  • In the current climate we are restricting pick up of Christmas Food To Order to one customer however for customers who require assistance to shop, stores might be able to accommodate an additional customer to help. But it will be the store's discretion to determine if a customer requires assistance hence please ring the store if you need any assistance for your collection.
