Technic not for me
Originally posted on LEGO
No, I don't recommend this
First Off, I'm not a fan of Technic. I bought this set just for something to do in the winter. I found the written instructions very hard to follow in some places and I consider myself to be a fairly experienced builder. I think I will be steering clear from Technic sets in the future.

Super sweet vehicle with a ton of surprises I didn’t expect for the price point! The fact you can drive it was already cool, then it came with the AR app and that my friends is a home run!

Great for what it is!

Bought this for my 4yr old son and he absolutely loves it. [Build] The build obviously was challenging for him, but it was a fun father son experience. That said, some of the some of the pieces are similar enough to have even confused a seasoned Lego hobbyist. Also a few other areas where pieces go in the behind could have been clearer. [Playability] Judging by other reviews, I think it's important to set your priorities when deciding to purchase this. If you want a display piece with many life like features to show off friends, then this may not be for you. However, this is perfect for younger kids where the durability of technic builds come at a great benefit. The car being a pull back is icing on the cake. This greatly extends the playability for younger kids.

The Ford Mustang is a cool set with many cool mechanics. It took a few hours to build, and it was simple and straight forward. There was a lot of detail on the car like the white racing striped which I really liked. The AR experience was pre&y cool, and the pull and release mechanism is really fun to use. I liked how you can take the rod of the back and replace it with the mustang logo if you want to put it on display. It matches well with all other technic car sets; The cars design really s%cks out and looks amazing. I would recommend this for all technic collectors.

Good build but bad features

I've got this as my first lego technic among many others but realized that it lacks alot of things. Take the LEGO Nascar for example it's got similar size and shape but does way more i personally feel like LEGO could have done a little more to put sutff inside maybe doors or a non hollow engine.

This was a pretty easy build. I enjoyed the process of putting it together. My only complaint is the technic feature. The red piece used to launch the car, I am not sure if i put it in correctly. Tried to flip it around, doesn’t seem to work well. Outside of that, i love the GT

I think this set is amazing because it can pull back but you can also park it and lock it in place with a little lever (review by my son).

Typical build, but do not care for the pull back and roll option, especially since parts must be exchanged to make it work.

Decent Build

It's a decent build for the money and is surprisingly bigger than expected. It can be challenging at times to put together, requires lots of patience, but worth it. It's a nice build if you are looking for a way to past time and if you are into cars.

this was the worst thing i’ve built in my entire life. it’s partly my fault because i kept using the wrong bricks for the wrong places, however the instructions were also kind of confusing. overall it looks really clean and i love it, but id suggest staying clear if you’ve only built about 1 lego set in the past year (like me).

It’s a car

It’s a good car. Not a great car, just a good one. Different green pieces have different colors? Doesn’t look like a mustang? Definitely for younger kids.

Good build experience, not so good everything else

Although the build was alright, it didnt exactly end up looking like a mustang. It looks great as its own car, but i just cant see it being a mustang, I feel like LEGO kinda got lazy with this one. Not to mention it also doesnt have the greatest features, its only feature is pull back, no steering, no interior decor, no engine, not even opening doors. Although it looks good, it doesnt look like a mustang, and it ends up falling short in the features category, especially compared to other similar builds in this price range.
