Didn't work for us
No, I don't recommend this
There's nothing wrong with the quality of these trousers but my 9yr old is tall and lanky, this style was way too baggy on him.

Poor quality
The quality is not what it used to be. Such a shame as they used to be great. Hard scratchy material, returned them.

Good fit for my 5 years old son. Quality is good.

Quality of good. It is water proof and anti wrinkles. So there is no need to do ironing.

Great quality, comfortable school trousers. Rare to find something long enough and also adjustable.

Quality, comfy school trousers
Yes, I recommend this
Easy to wash, wear well. The added feature of letting the hem down if they grow taller is a bonus. Not much difference in leg width compared to the regular trouser.

Quality has gone down
No, I don't recommend this
Been buying these for 10 years. Good fit for my slim son, however the quality has definitely gone down. The material is thinner, and we've had holes in knees (my son’s 14 so not crawling around), whereas the previous versions have been handed down to at least one other person, sometimes two. The last two pairs of these, the stitching came undone in the crutch. They were within the return window for replacement, but as they were out of stock, I've ended up sewing them myself. I notice that that the price hasn't increased for a couple of years and M&S advertise this fact. I'd rather pay a bit more and have the previous quality.

Perfect fit and great quality

Purchased these for my son who was starting high school. Fit perfect, he is slim built so normal trousers are too baggy. Very happy with the quality of material

Great fitting trousers and durable. My sons both play football at lunchtime in these and the knees don’t wear thin.

Poor quality see-through fabric! Disappointed!

I have bought M&S school trousers lots over the years and normally am impressed by the quality. The single garments are usually better than the 2 packs but not in this case. The charcoal ones I bought are see through and crispy. It says stretch but there doesn’t seem to be any. They feel so cheap and more like the basic supermarket ones. Last year I bought from a competitor and loved the overall quality but had 2 pairs that ripped in the crotch ( apparently this happened to a good few people) so thought I’d try M&S. I Don’t have time to get more before term starts so they will have to do! The school recommended ones although more expensive feel far better in quality. Size wise I bought age 12-13 for my slim fairly tall son and they seem ok with the adjusters and length should be ok with shoes without altering. M&S what has happened to your fabric quality? Never used to be like this!!

Disappointing
No, I don't recommend this
Ordered these trousers as a replacement for the 2 pack trousers mainly due to quality and material of 2 pack being so poor - rough, uncomfortable snd see through. Disappointing. These trousers have stretch so a bit more comfortable - however id still say not as comfortable or nice quality as previous purchases over the past 10 years of buying.

Super quality,excellent fit

Have bought these trousers for the third year now because my grandson finds them the most comfortable. Tried other trousers in the past but fit wasn’t right for him. As for me - I find the laundering of them a dream. Very little effort needed to keep them pristine.
