Easy denim outfit ideas
JENNY: “For this look, I’m wearing my new favourite Per Una jeans. I could talk about these jeans all day! They are super flattering, fitted at the waist and tapered towards the ankle. The cream colour is a lovely alternative to white and perfect for the transition into spring. I’ve worn them with a timeless striped jumper and a leather jacket for an added edge.”
EMMA: “I wore this outfit for our recent M&S Live shopping event and felt so comfortable in the pure cotton longline denim jacket. It’s a bargain at only £35 (run, don’t walk for this one). I love this spin on the classic denim jacket, with cut-out details at the sides, and how great it is to style over a dress like this textured green tea dress from Nobody’s Child. It would also look chic over a plain tee and darker jeans. Turn up the cuffs and push the sleeves up the arms to reveal details of your outfit underneath. This look is ideal for brunch with friends – finish it with Sosandar’s cowboy boots and gold jewellery.”

Casual ways to wear denim
EMMA: “I love the fit of these cropped barrel-leg jeans. The shorter length is a great way to show off these side-detail leather trainers, which are ultra comfy for the school run. I’ve gone for the light indigo shade, great for summer, and can’t wait to wear these with a chunky sandal. The plain white tee under the Autograph grey cashmere jumper is actually from the menswear collection. Throw a sleek camel-coloured coat from Autograph on top – I like the length of this one.”
JENNY: “For my second outfit, I’m wearing a pair of boyfriend jeans, which are £39.50. They have a mid-rise waist and an ankle-grazer length that make for a super-casual and relaxed look. Try layering with a premium white Autograph shirt and a moss-green cable-knit jumper for comfortable yet smart work-from-home style.”
How to dress up your denim
EMMA: “Double denim is perfect for evening events. I love these high-waisted wide-leg jeans in a mid-indigo shade, and have added cream cowboy boots from Sosandar to make the outfit more evening ready. To dress things down for work or a weekend shopping trip, team the gorgeous, soft-touch Autograph denim shirt with a striped cotton T-shirt and funky animal-print trainers.”
JENNY: “Let’s talk about this evening look. The high-waisted wide-leg jeans are perfect for a glamorous night out with friends. I have worn a beautiful panelled corset from the lingerie collection as a top. A boxy black blazer hung over the shoulders adds a sophisticated yet sexy vibe. Complete the outfit with a black heel to show off the wide-leg design and you’re ready to hit the town!”
