Digital Receipts

  • Digital receipts are receipts that are emailed to you for purchases made in-store, instead of the traditional printed paper receipt.

  • Log in to your M&S online account, navigate to Account > Go to your account > Your store digital receipts, tick ‘YES PLEASE’ and click Save. You can also use this page to opt out of the service.

  • No, the service is only available to Sparks members who have an online M&S account and a valid email address.

  • No, by scanning your Sparks card during the transaction we can automatically retrieve the email address that is linked to your Sparks card.

  • Yes, simply open your email receipt on your mobile device and present it to the store assistant, who will scan the barcode to start a refund or return.

  • Yes, you will receive an email receipt for every purchase regardless of the transaction value. There are some exceptions where a paper receipt will also be printed: receipts with cashback, deposit receipts, collect by car receipts, receipts including an S&D item, .com orders, limited staff discount card transactions, Flexecash payments, Visa contactless card payments with contactless balance, receipts with a message related to Alcohol Minimum Pricing, receipts associated to a Tax Free Shopping Forms.

  • Yes, even if you are signed up to digital receipts, you can still ask the colleague serving you at the till for a paper copy instead.

  • Emails should be delivered almost immediately once the transaction has been completed, however there are factors out of our control that may inhibit timely delivery, such as poor network or WiFi coverage, or issues beyond our control (e.g. temporary Gmail downtime).
