Set of 2 Padstow Slat-Back Dining Chairs

After trying a lot of shops went for these chairs - they are very well made & the seat is very well shaped & you feel very comfortable as its well balanced with the back support - I bought it with the extendable table. It goes well with the kitchen colours' scheme. If you want something that will last & be really modern & pleasant to look at then recommend this

I must admit I have a new crush in my life - the padstow range. At first I was apprehensive about the putty colour as my room is antiques silver and dove grey theme but it matches perfectly well. In fact couldn't match better. I have a small house so also apprehensive that the colour of chairs may make it feel dark but it really doesn't. It really adds style but looks different as nit the usual cream, white or just oak. They're comfortable and good quality. Well done M&S and thank you for helping me set up my new home!

I ordered a pair of these chairs two weeks ago and to my surprise they were delivered six days later! Excellent service. I am thrilled with the chairs, which look very stylish, sturdy and are comfortable to sit on.

A couple of years ago we bought the Padstow round fold leaf table and decided to add matching chairs after we had purchased the Padstow sideboard. Excellent quality furniture prompt courteous service!

Well made substantial chairs, good colour but you do need a cushion for seat comfort.

These chairs are beautifully made and I bought four to match the Padstow dining table. Although they are fine without seat pads I have bought some which make the seats more comfortable and now they co-ordinate really well with my dining area. I'm very pleased with my purchase!

I bought the Padstow round table and four chairs when I had a new kitchen fitted in November 2013. The chairs and table are only used occasionally as there are only two of us in the house and they are never abused. Over the past few months I have noticed scrapes, dents etc, particularly on the chairs and the pedestal legs of the table. I spent a lot of time getting my kitchen "right" and am extremely disappointed that such expensive items should be so easily damaged. I dread to think what they will look like in a few months time. I am now frightened to let anyone sit on them and would definitely not recommend the purchase of same by others.

I bought 6 of these chairs, the padstow table, sideboard and sidetable for a new extension. They look lovely. The chairs and table are only used occasionally - they are not in daily use. However after only the second time I had friends over I noticed that two of the chairs have really bad scores and scrapes on the seats. I think this can only have been caused by clothing - e.g buttons on rear pockets of trousers or something, but all my (adult, middle aged) guests did was sit on them ! They don't tend to wear large amounts of metal and I don't routinely tell them what to wear or check their rears before they sit down so I am extremely disappointed that such expensive 'oak' chairs should be so easily damaged. I would go so far as to say they are not fit for purpose if you can't actually sit on them in normal clothing without wrecking them. I now fear for the table top which is made from the same wood so if you are thinking about investing a lot of money in this range beware. It doesn't stand up to even to most average of normal wear. I still ove how they look. Am just really disappointed with the quality.

I've had these for a year now and they're as lovely today as they were when new. Really pleased.

Pleasantly surprised with the arrival of these chairs. I was considering padded chairs but these are very comfortable. They look great too.

Had the two chairs to match the Padstow drop leaf table and they do match perfectly. The table and chairs look beautiful together, Very solid chairs. I am thrilled with the total look.

We bought 4 of these dining chairs to complement the Padstow dresser and distressed oak dining table we have. They look great, are extremely solid and quite heavy as a result - certainly not flimsy. We are so pleased with them that we have just ordered 2 more to complete the set.
