Satin Straight Leg Trousers

Really thin and not at all good

Fit was very generous. Changed them for smaller size that unusually fitted well. Satin only applies to waist and pocket trim but still suitable for evening use.

Loose fitting trouser in a lightweight polyester fabric with satin trim. Wide at waist and hip, elasticated back, bulky (for the fabric) side zip that seems superfluous as the wide fit and elasticated waist makes them very easy to slip on and off. As a shorter lady (5' 3"), the short length ended two inches above the ankle bone, and the regular trailed the ground, so sizing is a bit of an issue. Best tried on in store The fabric is very lightweight and soft, so floating rather than firm. The wider fit would not be a problem under a long loose fitting tunic. Sadly this was not the sort of trouser I was looking for, mine went back.

Bought these in 2 sizes. They are quite roomy and bought the smaller size than normal. Very pleased with them . The satin is a strip down each outer leg and trimming on waistband and pocket.

Wanted a dressier evening trouser. As I have never bought from the classic collection I ordered 2 different sizes due to the side zip,which is not a favourite . However they are cut well and are a good fit, so kept the smaller size

These are not satin as stated before only the waist band and stripe seem to be a satin material. They do come up large and they do also have a side zip even though it states they are pull on but they have elastic in the waist band at the back. I have gone down a size and can still take them on and off without using the zip. I'm 5ft 6ins and the regular is just long enough with flat shoes, which I wear anyway. I will be keeping them as they are comfortable, over all pleased with my purchase.

I love them. I was concerned when I saw elasticated back but as I would wear long tops this won't show. Felt special for going out in the evening.

Some of the previous reviews for these trousers weren’t very positive, but thought I would try them to see for myself. I was slightly disappointed with them, the elasticated waist didn’t fit snug enough for me. Not sure what was quite wrong with them, I just felt they didn’t look very special on. Have therefore returned them.

I was very disappointed in the fit of these trousers and I don’t think a smaller size would have been much better as there seemed to be too much material in them and I wanted them to fit under a long sequinned top !

Really nice and comfy as well as flatterin

Not a trouser wearer really-can never find a comfy pair & usually wear dresses(do a lot of dancing!) These trousers in the short length (am 5'3") fit perfectly so I am amazed!! Haven't worn them yet but am happy to have a pair of trousers in my wardrobe at last.

I bought these trousers to go with a dressy tunic top and they do just the job. They are light and floaty and have more of a tuxedo effect with a satin trim down the leg and side pockets. I would recommend going down at least one size as they come up very big and long. They have a side zip however I initially thought they were pull on as the back is elasticated. I could pull them on without undoing the zip even though I had a size smaller than I usually wear. I ordered the short length as I wanted more of a crop look like the model in the picture however they come down slightly past my ankles. Hence only 4 stars but still very comfortable to wear.

I was pleasantly surprised to find these in the Classic range. I have been looking for a pair of trousers like this for ages. They were a very useful addition I wore with different tops on a cruise recently. The description of satin trousers is stretching it a bit. The satin is actually on the waistband and on the stripe down the side of the leg. Despite that, I am very pleased with my purchase and think that they are a great and useful buy.
