The skirt is generous with its elasticated waist and a little longer than I thought but flattering nonetheless. Like the other reviews say, it does make a rustling sound. I’m saving it for autumn to wear with big boots and tights.

Not the material I was expecting though maybe I didn’t read the description properly. It’s that kind of rain wear material sort of nylon but heavier. I was in two minds whether to keep it but it looks good on so why not! It was in the sale after all.

I would say it’s smart casual, for the everyday. The ‘casual’ is that it’s made of viscose, entirely viscose, not a mixture. The pleating is elegant and is probably the smart bit. If you’re under 5’6”, it will be a maxi length. The viscose may be a little off putting for some.

I like the pockets in this skirt and it has a comfortable fit; I am a size 12 generally in Hush jeans but in this instance the 10 is comfortable for me with room to tighten the drawstring waist and tuck in a t shirt but may depend on your waist (I'm 29" waist in jeans). The material described as technical isn't quite nylon but is light as well as practical and gives a nod to the current sporty trend so looks good paired with trainers for spring.
