Heat the soup (550 g) according to the pack instructions.

Turn the grill to high (240°C). Slice the scones (2) in half, drizzle with 1 tsp olive oil. place onto a foil-lined baking tray, and grill for 3 to 5 minutes until lightly golden.

Top with the grated cheddar (80 g) and season with salt and black pepper. Return to the grill, and grill for a further 3 to 5 minutes, or until the cheese is gooey and melted.

Ladle the soup into bowls, then gently drop the scones on top to soak up all that lovely flavour. Scatter with the thyme leaves (1 sprig), then serve.
