Ripstop Textured Trekking Shorts with Stormwear™

Good quality and a great fit. Bought as a present.

Bought a pair of Stone colour shorts, which were a good fit, so I bought a second Navy pair. I used a 20%off voucher for both pairs, which made them reasonable value for money. Pocket sizes are adequate to accommodate a smart phone, which is unusual, as in recent years M&S shorts pocket are often too small for my requirements. Overall I would recommend these shorts/

First: leg circumference. These seem to get narrower each year. It's ridiculous. Whether it's a bid to reduce fabric and therefore costs on a large scale or not, I don't know. Men don't want or need such tight fitting shorts for trekking. Second: the back pockets. I am staggered at the changes here. They have been lengthened by several inches, like about 4, so that your wallet end up resting at the top of your thigh. Who decided this would be a GOOD idea?? Seriously, what were you thinking?? This is really annoying and really unnecessary. Furthermore, if you wanted to get hands-on and reduce the pocket length yourself (which I do) to what it should be, M&S have made this task impossible. Why because the fools have attached the outer edge of the pocket inner to the leg seam. Yes that's right. Just staggering why you would do this.

My son was very happy with these shorts. Only wished button fastener instead of stud.

A quality feel material with an appropriate summer weight. Having reduced my weight, I ordered a 38" waist, so I was relieved that my non-reduced gluteus maximus are still accommodated comfortably! Good depth of the side pockets for handkerchief or loose change. The front cargo pockets are deep enough for most wallets or the small size version of iPhone. I have not experienced wet walking weather yet to test waster resistance.

These shorts are good quality well made and modern and comfortable too.
