Aiden Plug In Wall Light

I bought this as a gift for my niece. Although we haven’t installed it yet, it was very safely and neatly packed. It’s a very solid and well made lamp with a lovely neat oatmeal shade which gives a cosy ambiance. I bought a 6.5w E14 mini globe bulb which suits the lamp perfectly. Great value for money. Highly recommend

We wanted a plug in light for the hall to keep a gentle light on in the evening, it took ages to find one we liked and this is excellent- the addition of the shelf lovely touch to keep a plant on- really pleased with this light

Great lamp just the wire is far too long !!!! Hopefully will chop it off and just plug it in to use

All round, it is a decent fitting well made & designed on the whole - with a proper wooden shelf, not MDF or chipboard 'veneered' or wrapped in plastic - and though the frame is a serviceable black, in some ways a neutral colour would be preferable. The real problem - not identifiable from the webpage - is that the switch is half way down the 2-metre cable instead of being better placed just under the shelf. Unless you mount this on a wall near the ceiling, the switch will be close the floor or if the socket is located well away, then the switch will be a fair way on one side or the other. May be this is why the frame & cable is black as it should stand out while groping for the switch as few paint their walls black. It is not an insurmountable problem, but with a bit more thought as to ergonomics & practicalities, the switch would have been placed either by the shelf or very close to it. Too often lights are designed with the switches well away from the thing itself on the cable forcing a groping in the dark, whereas they should be on the fitting itself - easy to find - or be a touch-sensitive type to be even easier.

Absolutely love this light. Not only is it functional, giving a good light in a dark corner it also creates a feature on an otherwise plain wall. Very easy to assemble and fix to the wall. It looks great with a small trailing plant on the shelf.

Fabulous, design and aesthetic is spot on and good value for money. These are for my bedroom and I know they will be a great feature for many years and plug in makes it so easy to fit.
