Soft icing contains sugar, glucose syrup, vegetable oil, water, modified maize starch, acetic acid, dried egg white, stabiliser: e450 (i). Marzipan contains sugar, almonds (30%), water, glucose syrup, invert sugar syrup. Glace cherries contains cherries, glucose-fructose syrup, sugar, acidity regulator: citric acid, natural colour: anthocyanins. This wedding cake allows you to incorporate your individual personality/ colour scheme by being so plain . One or two of the pearl decorations came off as it was being removed from the packaging but it did not detract from the overall effect.

This cake was a lovely moist fruit cake, and simply but elegantly decorated. It is a little short though, so consider getting a higher cake base to sit it on for maximum effect.

I thought the ordering and pick up service were excellent and care was taken to ensure the cakes arrived undamaged. I was a little disappointed with the finish of the sugar paste which was a little lumpy. I felt it should have been smoothed off to a better finish. Also naming the cake Romantic Pearl leads you to think that the bobbles on the side are pearl but they are not. The taste of the cake was outstanding, rich and moist.

I ordered this cake and then decorated it myself for my wedding. It was really well packaged and I received an email the night before the delivery date to say it was on its way to the store which was reassuring. My guests said the cake tasted lovely. I would definatley reccomend this cake it was super.
