Tile Jacquard A-Line Dress

Loved the colour and fit of this 60s style A-line dress. Didn't mind the the quality of the jacquard material that some other commenters didn't like. It was stretchy and really comfortable. But the main problem was that the hem wasn't finished off properly so within two hours of wearing it the hem had come down completely. It wouldn't have been difficult to get it mended but at the full price, I didn't see I should have to pay for it. So have reluctantly returned this item.

More expensive than other dresses on M&S site but worth it for the easy fit style. Fabric feels a bit cheap and acrylic but looks better than it feels. If you have hips or a large chest this dress would not suit but for all who are straight up and down, it is a lovely addition for spring. Even though i bought it i feel i over paid, my purchase was on-line, parcel arrived quickly, several items arrived dirty and needed washing, there was no packing, or covers on the items which had just been dropped directly into the box.

I was a little nervous about the colour of this dress, because although I like red I know it is a bit tricky getting the shade that suits me; I have a pale complexion. However, I think this is a flattering red for me. I read the reviews about some disappointment with the material, but I like the fact that it is quite substantial and hangs well, and it doesn't seem to be prone to creasing. It is just on the knee for me; I am 5 ft 5" tall and seems to suit the balance of the style. It does have a sixties look to it, but shift dresses generally can look smart and fashionable. I liked the neckline; it appears to stand up, very slightly, and frame the face, making a subtle stylish extra. Very reasonably priced for the Best of British range.

This dress is a beautiful shade of red. I cant wait to wear it to our Christmas party. Very comfortable and wont crease. It is very versatile can be dressed up or layered for a more casual look. I think it will be a great asset in my wardrobe.

The red is a lovely colour, I understand the comments about the fabric, but think this is part of the retro style. Dress is very well made and lined, looks great with black opaques and ankle boots.Can be worn as pinafore or on its own. Very pleased with purchase.

Just popped in to my local M&S Branch to buy something for my husband, and saw this on the rail. Bought it and tried it on at home. Loved it. Very 60s, both in style and fabric - although this is a bit crimpaleney . The texture of the fabric was original and it was lined and made by an English manufacturer. Well done, M&S. As the days get colder, I will wear a polo underneath, with black tights, either low heels or pumps or boots. Very versatile and easy to wear. I think this dress is for all ages. Great - just keep it up M&S.

This looked so promising in the pictures, but the fabric is just awful - something like those cheap crimplene dresses of days gone by - and bulky too. The facing round the neck doubles the bulk in that area and is quite ugly. Shame. This style has such potential. Really the only thing going for the dress is it's colour, which is a gorgeous shade of red.

Wore this dress for the first time today and received lots of compliments about the style, colour and just general loveliness. I am a size 12 normally, but that came up really big on my chest and shoulders so went for a size 10 and it fitted perfectly. A really easy dress to wear, perfect for work or going out and very comfy. Definitely recommend for autumn, a really different style and great that it is from the best of british range.

This dress was a lovely fit and colour and was well made. That is where my positive comments end. It looked really frumpy. I'm not sure why. It was possibly the 1960s retro look fabric. It looked like the sort of fabric my granny would have had a dress in back then. The fabric looked cheap and for M&S it was quite expensive. Cheap for the Best of British range perhaps but not for the quality of the fabric. Another dress that I returned.

Dreadful fabric - what's happening M&S? I keep looking for dresses with sleeves on M&S website and see good styles and colours but when they arrive the quality of the fabrics are abysmal. PLEASE rectify this in future.

The dress is very comfortable to wear. You can dress it up if wanted. A dress you can wear for any occasion. I liked the colour red very much.

Love the forgiving shape without being frumpy. Got it today and wearing it tomorrow. Nice true red and will wear with polo neck in winter. More colours please.
