Shadow Print Long Nightdress

Size was fine and good fit. Nice length as well but just didn't like the fabric for sleeping in. Shame

Very disappointed. Poor quality fabric with no substance to it. Dread to think what it will look like when it's washed. Despite the claim it would be easy to move in bed, it was not! I chose a full length because 'on the knee' length is too short. How about a mid calf length? This is the first time I've ever done a review and usually I'm a big M and S fan but not this time.

I was so pleased to have my Sparks offer and treat myself to this pretty, comfy nightie. I quickly bought another as it is my new favourite ! The material is soft and doesn't get all twisted round at night, washes and drys easily, and no need to iron if it's taken out of the machine and given a good shake....the only small criticism would be the sleeves, I had to go up a size to be comfy as they have no give, but not a problem....I love it, cosy, comfy and light as a feather....hmmm..maybe I need three ;-)

I bought because of the long length but after wearing only once it resembles a rag. Absolutely awful material and definitely not fit for purpose.

If only you had ankle length cotton nightdresses I would be very happy. I have a size 12 La Maison De Senteurs one which is too big, you'd sold out of size 10. Shows it was popular, so why is it impossible to get one like it?

I had to return this nightdress as I am only small in height and the nightdress was far too long. The upside is, it was great quality and style.

Despite its washed out appearance, I liked the feel of the fabric, the fact that the garment wasn't see-through and the cute cap sleeves. On trying it on for the first time, I was more than pleased; it hung well, due to the slightly heavier weight of the material and it felt lovely and smooth against the skin. However... after only one night, it looked like a rag! To be fair, that didn't bother me as much as the fact that the cut of the armholes/sleeves is such that it severely restricts freedom of movement during sleep. Each time I turned over, the nightdress bunched up across the chest/back and became very uncomfortable. I am normally an M&S size 12 but on this occasion, purchased a size 14 in order to have that extra bit of room. In all other respects the nightdress is ample, just not in the underarm area. Overall then, the styling is great, but the fabric and cut could be improved upon.

Purchased on line; without fabric details I chose this because of the style together with a matching robe. On wearing the nightdress for only one night the garment became very badly creased because of the fabric content. Not a pretty sight. Cannot rate this as a good 'packing' item.

I've been looking for a long, comfortable nightdress which was not utilitarian polycotton, or see-through plain white for many months. I am 5'6" and wear size 12. I like the cap sleeves and pintuck detail, as well as freedom of movement and coolness, and the pattern is muted but still feminine - and not grey 'convict' stripes as on some of M & S designs. I thought I might not like the heavier hemline but this is not at all bothersome and makes the nightdress hang well. All in all, very pleased with this nightie.

The bottom of the nightdress is a bit heavy.

I bought this nightdress in store not online. It was just what I was looking for as it was long with hardly any sleeve and not jersey or synthetic. I always buy a bigger size in nighties for comfort. Although it is not cotton it is comfortable to wear as the fabric has a little weight to it. I do not find the cap sleeves binding. The fabric has a faded look (shadow print) in a faint grey but it looks vintage more than shabby. I have not washed it yet so cannot comment on that.

Found this too long for me, colour was dull and didn't like the cap sleeve. Returned despite wanting it when I went into hospital.
