Pure Linen Wide Leg Trousers

I bought these gorgeous, classy linen trousers in several different colours and they all look lovely - although I did find a frustrating disparity in the fit across the various colours that I ordered. The Navy ones fitted perfectly but the White pair and Sand pair were too tight around the waist by at least an inch and they weren't available in the next size up in Long. I'm a size 20 but can go baggier in a size 22 but it's virtually impossible to get size 22 in Long on the M&S site. But I love the Navy linen trousers so much I bought 2 pairs!

Became very baggy after first wash . Difficult to iron.

Love the neutral colour and the fit. With having a slight amount of elastication in the waistband it means that a size 12 fits though I had to go for a short fitting albeit I am 5'6"! I did also get the navy version but these were a bit on the short side as they measured 1cm shorter than the neutral colour way which was a shame.

These trousers are super comfortable, and thanks to the Short Petite length option, I didn't have to shorten them myself (as is so often the case). The front sits flat, and the fabric hangs and moves beautifully, so I feel unobtrusively elegant. And there are functional pockets! Love 'em. Got them in navy and black.

Sadly, as with most shops / designers, these trousers look great on a very slim model but when you wear a size 14 they don't look so good. When will designers realise that putting pockets in the 'side seam' on the hips makes the shape of the trousers completely different. They gape! They always gape! Not a good look in silhouette. Why can't they put the pockets where they do when designing jeans?

Quite long in the leg - I'm 5'5" tall and needed "short" length to wear with flat shoes

I purchased the white & beige linen trousers last year, found them to be comfortable and cool therefore I have ordered a Navy pair. Looking forward to wearing them on my holidays.
