The fabric on this duvet cover is so thin I can see through it - it appears threadbare. There are no pillowcases and it looks old and worn out. I bought what I thought would be a smooth, soft duvet cover for my daughter and the other I bought for half the price is much nicer.

Sadly going to return this duvet cover if I can. Washed it once and it has gone all patchy and discoloured. Wouldn’t recommend, which is a shame as the cotton feels lovely and the colour was gorgeous.

M&S X Fired Earth Duvet Cover Super King

I love these M&S X Fired Earth washed cotton duvet covers. The plain ones are not as soft as the Fired Earth patterned bed set, but still softer than usual cotton. I purchased the Garden Folly colourway which is an unusual grey/green love it.

Frustratingly disappointing

Over the last year I have purchased over 5 king size sets. Two sets have been received that had a king size wash label but are super king size (how unlucky can one person be!!). Over time the dover cliff colour has now become white. The fabric is soft but it shouldn't be so difficult to get a good quality bed set.

As well as the duvet cover I bought other bedding from the Fired Earth range to match including the Jaipur Bandhani Cotton Rich Bolster. They look great on the bed but also feel lovely to the touch. Very pleased with the results.

As other reviewers have noted, these are very thin. My duvet shows through the duvet cover fabric. The “washed cotton” doesn’t seem to be adding much - the fabric feels like a regular sheet (a thin one at that!). Other than that they seem well made and I appreciated that they didn’t come in plastic packaging.
