Florence Floor Lamp

Lamp was as expected, good quality for the money. I wanted a standard lamp for a long time for our sitting room for reading and knitting. This provides adequate light and is a lovely addition to our room.

Fantastic quality for the money - it slotted together easily (though I thought there was a bolt missing at first, to fix the stem to the base). The shade is nice and thick, and overall not at all wobbly like some I looked at.

Its fairly easy to put together. Though struggled to get the lamp the right way round to balance on the base. You can happily have a lower wattage bulb in than that suggested as nice bright light.

It is easy to assemble. I like the design. It looks perfect in my lounge. Maybe including a bulb would be helpful.

This lamp has been a great disappointment. I was so looking forward to putting it in my daughters’s room together with a matching ceiling lamp but instead I will be returning it. The glass shade has small marks / faults, the lamp stand has few scratches and a small dent and two of the 4 poles don’t connect tightly (the thread appears to be faulty) making the whole lamp quite unstable. The flat base has a black rubbery ring at the bottom which is glued on but misaligned.

The overall appearance of this lamp ... from a distance ... is attractive. However, where the metal tubes join together the quality is distinctly poor. The joins are clearly visible whereas they should be undetectable to the eye. I have decided to keep the lamp as it was half price and is what I needed. I would certainly not have paid full price for such shoddy workmanship.
