Tweed Straight Short Jacket

I was very pleased with this jacket as I had been looking for one for some time which wasn't too expensive. I did change the buttons on it as I found the original buttons too brassy for my taste but this was just a personal choice. It is ideal to to wear with jeans or even a dress for more formal occasions.

Unfortunately this jacket had such long sleeves it was laughable to see me in it. The shorter length is good for those of us with sorted bodies but most people do not have arms the length the sleeves suggested. Material was a loose tweed so very prone to snagging

The jacket is a bit on the short side which will affect what it can be worn with.there are 4 large buttons o the pockets which I will remove. Despite the above it is a very nice jacket.

I loved the look of the jacket when it came through by email and ordered it straight away. However I was very disappointed in the quality of the fabric and colour. On the photos it looked as thought it was a mixture of blue and green check in the tweed, but in fact was pretty much green and rather ‘flat’. Also the weight of the fabric was too light for it to hold it’s shape well. Pity, loved the design and a different palette from the usual navy/cream/red and neutral colours on offer

I loved the colour and the fabric and the boxy shape. As someone else said in a review the buttons are not gold they are silver and if I'd kept the jacket I would certainly have changed them for something, in my case, less shiny - but that's easily done and a personal choice. I thought it a good weight for spring, that kind of shape isn't meant to be for warmth! And, again like that same other reviewer, I think it would have been better with hooks all down the front rather than just at the top. I bought a size up from my usual as it would have to go over things and it was OK but not generous. But then nor is this style.

A stylish jacket purchased in one size smaller than my usual size 8 due to it fitting better on the shoulder in a smaller size, and also due to the sleeves being overly long! Lovely colour, great for day to day wear; would appreciate a more quality product at a higher price for more occasional wear.

I loved the colour of this jacket and the size 12 fitted me well ( I would say slightly generous side) HOWEVER the sleeves were just too long. I spent ages in the changing room deciding whether I could turn them up successfully myself ( I decided not) but concluded that it was not worth investing in alterations for such an inexpensive jacket. Had it been better quality and more of an investment piece I might have considered this. However, if it fits you, a bargain for £59. (Not sure why M&S assessing everything for warmth!)
