Checked Slim Leg Trousers

very pleased with trousers despite finding them hard to obtain in my size

I love these trousers, the colouring appeals to me, as does the check, something different. Being a seamstress the first thing I looked for is to see if the checks matched and were lined up, they were. When I was first drawn to them in store I thought they were expensive, but the quality is good, and with 20% discount, I decided to buy them and have no regrets. I couldn't get size 16 regular length in store or online so purchased the long and shortened them.

These trousers fit true to size, I am 5’8“ and bought the 8 medium but went up to 10 long which are slightly loose but fall lovely. The length comes just below my ankle. The material is lightweight but comfortable and soft. It was the different colour that attracted me and it looks better on than off: different but with potential to dress them up or down. They look expensive. I had to look in store for a second pair as they had sold out on line; there was 1 pair left in 10 long. I also bought the Collection green check in 10 long, but the fit is different, and the material is thicker. Winter wardrobe sorted!

Loved the colour & check pattern of these trousers but they were not a good fit at all. Too much material flapping at the thighs.

Given their Autograph label and higher price, I was expecting a better cut and fit from these trousers. They felt a bit cheap, to be honest, and the cut was a bit odd around the hips. They didn't hang at all well so can't enthuse about them.

The trousers are a good fit, practical and elegant, ideal for an autumnal look as they could be worn with shirts or knitwear. The leg tapers nearly into the ankle and the check pattern allows varied colour matches.
