Canvas Espadrilles

I read all the reviews on these before purchasing. Many said they were coming up small so I ordered one size up. That was good advise but they are still very tight over the top of my foot...I am hoping they will stretch a little.

These espadrilles were an instore impulse purchase and I was very pleased, that is until I got home and tried to put them on. Putting them on was a complete nightmare as the fit is very tight despite my feet being a half size and the espadrilles were therefore larger. I then checked the reviews and found that almost every reviewer had the same problem. Has I seen the reviews before the purchase I wouldn't have even bothered and would have saved myself a morning returning to the store to get a refund. Sadly the designers have failed very badly with this product however one lesson I have learned is that I should have tried them on instore.

Husband and sons have worn and been more than happy with M&S espadrilles for several years. Their go to summerwear/slippers. Not any more.. The design and quality has altered. The interior sole used to be a padded comfortable cotton one, now is cork. But more importantly there used to be elastic inserts on both sides allowing easy and comfortable fit. Now only one smaller elastic insert which makes sliding foot in almost impossible. I must assume a change of manufacturer and lower cost implications. Profit before an almost perfect product. Still trying to find an alternative.

The product is fine, as shown, unfortunately the sizing is completely different to the pair I have previously owned and was attempting to replace. The old pair of size 8 fitted like a glove, I cannot even get my foot into this new pair of size 8. Extremely disapointed, they will be going back!

I found the shoe too narrow a fitting, should be wider fit

I bought two pairs of these on line for my husband who loved the ones we bought last year. These have changed with elastic on one side only and the size ten he had before fitted very well, with the current ones even with a shoe horn he could not get them on. A big disappointment and a pain to have to return them personally which we were hoping to avoid hence the on line purchase.

I buy these every summer for my husband in several colours! He loves them finds them so comfortable!

Very light durable shoe for summer wear. Fit is OK

They're cheap, so my expectations weren't high. They were also the only style in my size. I had read another review that suggested they were a small fit, so I bought a size up. Even so, the upper part is still much too tight. The insole isn't particularly comfortable and I'm not convinced the stithcing is going to last the summer.

Unfortunately, returned as the shoe was too narrow for my husband.

Bought on line as £15 version far too tight, these as bad & have had numerous in past yet slight design change like others these are way too tight & uncomfortable. Tried to stretch them to no avail so now can’t return so now like previous £15 ones in the bin. I’m fuming, I’ve shopped at M&S for over 50+ years but clothing/footwear quality for the money is now very poor!

Been wearing M&S canvas shoes for years, love them. Annoying sticker inside of both heels attached by nuclear fission which is impossible to remove. Does wear away with use though.

The shoe was far too small to fit. Although a size 10 it looked more like a size 9 compared with my other shoes. The way the shoe was constructed meant the canvas material prevented the bridge of my foot fitting into the shoe. As I was unable to wear the shoe I returned it to the store.
