Convenience of Online Ordering
Yes, I recommend this
Aaagghh. The shoes I wanted weren't in stock in my size. A helpful assistant ordered them for collection at a store near work. Great. Much more convenient than travelling back into town and the Christmas cards.

Repeat purchase
Yes, I recommend this
This is the third pair of these shoes my husband has had. On average they last about 9 months before the soles cracks, always in the same place, but they are worn every work day during this time and also during the 2 mile walk home. Until the sole splits, they are water resistant. They are light and comfortable and don't need too much breaking in when new. My husband has tried other shoes but goes back to these despite the problem with the sole.

Disappointed
No, I don't recommend this
Worn Airflex shoes for some time including this type as a comfortable fit. But the latest pair have not lasted 6 months before the sole on both shoes split side to side. Seems to be a issue with the material its made from. Taking these back shortly.

These used to be good shoes!
No, I don't recommend this
When I first bought these shoes several years ago I thought they were great! They were very comfortable, smart and robust. They felt like very good quality shoes that lasted longer than you would expect. So every time I needed a new pair I would come back and buy these again. Unfortunately M&S seem to have changed the material that the soles are made from and now the quality is very bad. The soles have only lasted a couple of months before splitting! I wouldn't buy these again.

Soles on Airflex shoes did not last long for me!
No, I don't recommend this
I have bought Airflex shoes for several years now and have always liked the comfortable style and design. Unfortunately the quality of the material used to make the soles appears to have been downgraded in the past year (it seems to be quite 'rubbery' now and notably less rigid than that of previous Airflex products). I bought 2 pairs of Airflex shoes in early June 2013 ( including a pair of Airflex Leather Wide Fit Tramline Shoes) and the sole split within 3 months of use, which at a purchase price of £49.50 per pair I did not feel was acceptable value. On the positive side M & S store purchased these shoes from did fully reimburse me for this purchase, even though I hadn't retained my receipt which I was grateful for. I hope the material for the soles can be improved to make the shoes as durable as they used to be (earlier pairs have lasted at least one year without splitting in this way).

size

Disappointed with this purchase. I bought similar shoes a few years ago and they were great, I bought size 9 and I have to put inserts due to planter fasitis. This time I tried size 9 and 91/2 and they were to tight after putting in inserts, so bought size 10 and they are still tight. I appreciate they will expand, but still having to buy a size up and they still "don't do what it says on the tin". M&S get this sorted

Poor fit and poor finish

A good wide fitting shoe, in a stylish design. With the Easter promotion I regarded these shoes a good bargain.

Not wide enough
No, I don't recommend this
Although these shoes are described as extra wide they were not nearly wide enough for my husband so had to be returned.

Not the best fit
No, I don't recommend this
I liked the previous pair of Airflex extra wide, but these have less room, and are not as comfortable

Stylish Shoes
Yes, I recommend this
My husband has quite broad feet and also has to wear a kind of brace on one foot, following a very severe ankle break some years ago. All this make getting a shoes to fit, quite a problem. The Airflex range of broad fitting shoes is his only recourse for getting a stylish shoe without paying a fortune. He is very pleased with these.

Disappointed in quality
No, I don't recommend this
I like another reviewer on here have religiously bought the airflex extra wide fitting without even trying them on for many years, i do a lot of walking and have proved in the past excellent value, but with the change in size and quality and amount of materila used these shoes are now painful to wear on a day to day basis and can't even tie them properly, this means i am now short of somewhere to buy these type of shoes, sorry M&S but i expect far better than this, extra wide has gone to just wide

I now walk with added sound effect
No, I don't recommend this
Ive had these shoes for around 3-4 months. They have just developed an annoying squeeking/squelching noise in the left shoe. After spending around £50 on these shoes I would expect them to last a little longer than they have done. After religiously buying Marks & Spencer shoes over the last 12 years of my working life, I expected these shoes to last the same three years that the others had. I only walk a short distance from my car to the office and then around the office through the day...plus the every other day trek to the supermarket on my lunch break. Disappointing!

What has happened!
No, I don't recommend this
I have purchased Airflex extra wide shoes for many years and had no problems, excellent fit and they last a long time. I therefore purchased the same again (it's a man thing, little change stick to what you know). Alas M&S have changed the specification the new shoes were 1cm narrower than the old so did not fit - hence returned to the shop! - the M&S definition of extra wide has changed.

My husband has purchased this type of shoe twice before and is very satisfied with them. Very comfortable, hardwearing and look good.

The only pair of shoes I've ever bought again...
Yes, I recommend this
..and again. I must have extra-wide feet, but these are among the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn and I now have three pairs. If you look after them, the leather and soles will be sustained for 3 years+
