The worst dinner set I have ever known

I used to have M&S's Carousel dinner set which lasted 10 years. I replaced that set due to wanting a change and a few missing plates over the years due to accidents which you expect over 10 years and having kids... I bought the dark grey Marlowe range and it has been a massive mistake. Some plates completely broke. Two bowls completely broke. They break easily. The first side plate chipped within a few weeks; I returned it only to be suspected that I was not careful with them. No, I was as anyone can be. I bought two sides plates since because of chips developing over the next few months. Chip after chip this dinner set chipped away at my patience. Not only do they chip easily and break completely, they scratch horribly. This is because they are coated. Don't think they are completely made of some Japanese style crockery. They are not. It's the coating which scratches and chips. I'm fed up of them. Here's some lovely photos to warn you against buying these.

Love this set. The dinner plates have a large flat area so food looks nicely presented even if there’s a lot on the plate, and a decent lip so it doesn’t spill! Bowls are nice and big too. Simple, smart, and good value. Would recommend.
