Striped Wide Leg Trousers

Bought these trousers for a friend in a size 16 short, too wide for her so had to return but liked them so much I tried them on for length (29") and they seemed perfect for me. Ordered in a 12 short, alas too short so re-ordered in a 12 regular (my usual size) appreciating I may need to shorten them. The overall fit was perfect but they needed to be shortened by 1" - not a problem. Unfortunately I had to shorten by 1.25" to allow for the dragged line left by the machine stitching! Just loved the trousers so much that I decided to keep them and wear lower heal shoes. The description says they are navy mix - would disagree as they look like black/white mix. Having checked them in nightlight and daylight and with navy and black tops I was decided by the fact that the pockets are black! Very comfortable and smart - M&S, you are getting back to smart wearable clothing now you just need to sort out leg lengths. Will wear with the black turn back cuff jacket (also M&S) and a white top.

Have a liking for striped trousers anyway and these do not disappoint. Bought usual size - fit round waist/hips perfectly and for once the length is spot on! (Have been having problems with M&S lengths recently after many years of no difficulties)! Will take these on holiday.

First time i wore these my sister went wow, she thought they very stylish, i just need to find the right top for them. They do not crease and wash well I hate hook and eye fastenings as they always stick up somewhat, so wish it had been a button.
