This is a totally casual outfit which does not put it at a disadvantage with other heavier more formal garments — it simply means that this combination has a different purpose: it is exactly what a child/ teenager would readily use to lounge around/ mess about in without Mother nagging about what she will have to do to make it look wearable again.
