I have a few Seasalt dresses, albeit summer ones, so I know I can trust their quality. I fell in love with this dress when I saw it on line, but to be honest, given that I'm in my 70s, I wasn't at all sure it would suit me - and it was rather expensive. However, I did add it to my M&S wish list. Suddenly, coming up to Black Friday weekend, I happened to notice that it had been substantially reduced - I had to at least now try it. I'm so pleased that I did. Although the style is a loose fit, the velvet material hangs beautifully, so doesn't look shapeless, yet hides unwanted bumps. The colours in the dress are really rich, which I like. My usual size 14 was perfect, as was the length, which came just to the top of my knee (I'm 5' 6"). Sleeves are 3/4 length, and whilst I might have preferred long, that wasn't a game changer. I originally intended to wear the dress with dark opaque tights, but that somehow didn't look right on me, and seemed to detract from the colours of the dress, so I just wore ordinary tights. This dress was so comfortable to wear - even after a sizeable meal - and didn't crease at all. It also has the added bonus point of being washable! Lots of compliments, including from my husband, so really pleased with my purchase.
