Sequin Midaxi Column Skirt

My wife usually wears either a 12 or 14 in M&S clothing, so when she said she wanted this skirt, I bought a 14. It was so tight she couldn’t zip it up. So, I then bought a 16. She was able to zip the outer garment, but the lining was so tight she couldn’t sit down. So, she agrees with so many other reviewers … the sizing is way off. My guess is that the size of the lining is not necessarily correlated with the size of the garment itself. Now I have another skirt to return. Thanks a lot, M&S

Beautiful skirt, great colour, but a size and a half too small so going back!

This is a beautifully made skirt and lovely colour but the sizing is off . I read the reviews and sized up but even so couldn’t do up the zip but felt a larger size would have been too big and not fit as wanted.

This skirt is really beautiful and so flattering, but as other reviewers have said, the sizing is way off. I’m on the small side of a 12 and could hardly get the 12 on never mind zip it up. I ended up buying the 14, and it is the same size as other 12s I have from M&S and elsewhere.

Loved sequin quality and style of this skirt and bought it for many upcoming festive season occasions. I kept it but few comments. First the sizing is absultely off. I usually fit quite comfortably in M&S size 10, but had to reorder it in 12, it’s still quite snug and I need to lose a kilo or thereabouts to have it normal size. Second is a shape. It’s made very much for straight body shape without defined waist and flat glutes. For someone with hourglass figure, the fit isn’t ideal. I’ll make it work but unlikely will be able to wear with fitter too tucked in. The make however is quality for the price and colour is gorgeous.

Sadly I was really disappointed due to the poor sizing on this skirt it comes up really small and as I couldn’t even get it above my thighs I’d say you have to go up at least two sizes. I loved the colour but sadly sold out of larger sizing.

I love it but it’s sizing is small, I’d read the reviews and bought a bigger size than usual.

Having read reviews to say this comes up small, I ordered a size 12 and a 14. My usual size is 12. No chance of it fitting so will keep the 14. Lovely fabric and colour. Expect to get a lot of wear out of it. Just a mention, this was initially out of stock and I clicked the button to say notify me when in stock. I was never notified but just spotted it in time before it sold out again. M and s please don’t offer to do this if it doesn’t happen

Loved the colour and style and size 14 fitted perfectly. Good length too. Unfortunately when ordered there was only one photo, and there being no mention in the description, I did not know the skirt had a large side split, which renders it more an occasion piece, than something that could be dressed up or down. Sadly am returning and have marked down due to this. If you want a quality skirt with a large side split, this is the skirt for you. The only downside being I imagine it is going to be everywhere this season.

Great quality skirt but woefully wrong with sizing. Comes up very very small. Unfortunately this is becoming more evident with the higher end M&S brand.

Gorgeous skirt, the colour is beautiful. It comes up quite small as there is no stretch in the lining or sequin fabric so would advise going up a size.
