Quite slim on the waist as well as the leg, but look nice. My sons not over weight but has to get age 10-11, despite being 9. It’s weird because other M and S trousers he’s 9-10.

Although the shorts themselves are a good design and style, the material is just awful. Very thin and rough. M&S need to look in to the fabrics. They seem to be charging same price for a lower quality product.

Quality good as expected. Great option to adjust waist too. However sizing seems off (as with smaller sizes). My 5 Yr old is still in 3-4 on smallest size. I bought 4-5 just now and even on smallest size they fall off. He's slim but fairly average amongst his peers. Others in his class started reception in age 3. So just keep in mind.
