Ultra Cool Mattress Protector

I had high hopes for this. I have a cool protector from elsewhere I bought several years ago, which is great, but sadly they don’t sell anymore. So I was beyond pleased to find this one in M&S, and, initially upon opening, I was very pleased as it’s very cool to the touch (just like my other one). Sadly, that’s where the good comparison stops. First, it’s extremely slippery. It’s like sleeping on an ice rink, you slide around and the sheet on top of the protector (mine is fitted so not loose!) just bunches up and ends up in a screwed up mess. However, second, and worse, is that it makes me hotter! How?! You think it’s great to start with but then I wake up incredibly hot. I’ve been using for several weeks and was away last week in a hot country and was cooler there, without this, than I was here in considerably lower temperatures. I’m going to raise with customer service as I don’t think it’s fit for purpose and is extremely disappointing. I’m a big fan of M&S so it pains me to have to write this.
