Cheap fabric which slides on the mattress. Also it has straps across each corner instead of being able to tuck it under the matress all the way round.

I would normally purchase the mattress protector with the 'skirt' to encase the whole mattress. Delighted with this one as it actually stays in place!

Fits perfectly. They were replacements for some older M&S mattress protectors. I like the firmer edge They were a good price. I had looked elsewhere but most game with either a vallance or covered the whole mattress which I didn't want.
